lol...yeah I will try to remember that....originally I thought my gas gauge wasnt working...guess I just didnt put in enough to register...anyway..there was water in the gas and carb bowls...dont know if it came from the rain or from a bad gas station tank...either way its all good now...and it even charges...just did about 10 miles on it and it started right up afterwards...although I dont think Im getting teh full 15v charge...mine is sitting around 13...will clean off my ground wire as its starting to corrode at the frame...hadnt seen it before...this could also give me my voltage loss I was experiencing before.
and yes...getting a new filter today. thanks all for the help. now I just have to register it and get plates for it, lol....

Hey Red, Glad to see she is running again. Next time instead of using jagermeister as a substitute gas and running out of gas, try a little Jack Daniels. After drinking a Jack on ice and eating beans, I never run out of gas!!!
Stay dry brother and if you see that old 1974 Ayer, Mass High School Home Coming Queen tell her I have her picture.... What is her name? Heck if I know, I was drinking jagermeister at that time!
A young GI has to get his foot in the door somehow and I figured if I drank the same drink the ladies liked, I had an IN with the gals.....

The idle output of your charging system should be about 13.4v and moderate to full-throttle should be about 14.6v or so. If you are ever in the Reno, NV area, give me a yell and we'll go to the Bucket of Blood Saloon in Virginia City. I want to watch the Harley riders look when you ask for a jagermeister and not a JD...LoL

hey now....dont knock my Zima...lol...used to drink that when I was 16...then I found JD and vodka...drank so much JD I cant even smell it anymore without getting sick, lol....so I drink alot of vodka..and jager, love redheaded *****...but vodka and cranberry is most of what i drink these days...It seems like my charging system is doing fine...13+v was at about 4k...runs great...if Im ever out that way i will definitely hook up with you...wide open nevada roads and some good drinks...making fun of the HD riders..what can be better.

red headed ****...definitely my type of girl, but its also 1pt jager, 1pt peachtree, splash of cranberry juice...some people also add 1 pt vodka..personally I like 4 pts jager 2 parts peachtree 1 pt vodka and 1 pt cranberry...its a bigger drink and works fast(vodka)and lasts awhile(jager)

Ran a couple of hundred night klms last night ... was bloody great !!
Was just cool , not cold ..clear and the roads were pretty quiet..
Needless to say I copped a quite a few thumps in the ribs from Kerri
I don't do much night riding these days .. too many critters to hit ...roos , foxes , cats and bloody dogs seem to litter the hyways around here

Man, Jim Beam Black and a Red Headed ****. You guys are bringing back some good memories. My dad use to drink Jim Beam. I never heard of a drink called a Red Headed ****, but then I don't drink mixed drinks anymore.
Red, I am the same way as you are with JD, but mine is Vodka. Drank Vodka to the point of looking like a Volcano! I thought I heard Capt Ahab say, "Thar she blows" after all that Vodka!!! I still get a little jumpy around water because it looks like Vodka...
I know women don't like the term Red Headed ****, but to a man, that term is what wakes up old "Captain Mid-night" and is like a call to arms! A Red Headed **** is a true snake charmer....
Have you tried Zima lately Red? I made the mistake and tried it, looks to much like Vodka!! Ouch, just saying the word Vodka hurts my collar bones! I like to ask the Harley riders if they wouldn't mind if I sit on there bike since it is fantastic. Their ego says, go ahead.
