I use these bulbs with this mod. Huge difference in night riding.
Are those bulbs plug-and-play, or are modifications needed? Thanks.

These bikes along with others have a P43T base. To get a bulb with a H-4 base you will need to make the mod or purchase adapters. Some just cut the lower tabs off but I don't think the standoff would be the same.

edit: Just found this one. P43T base

Gonna be interesting for me when I go to install a set of dual VVME 55w Slim Ballast
AC bi-xenon HIDS in 6000k color, may be a dremel & jbweld moment to make them
install in the headlamp housing.

Prefer to make the housing work than actually chop the bi-xenon bulbs

Thanks for the good / bad - idea there Woof & Pete ....... lol

oh an VVME do single lamp units Woofer

Thanks for the info. I'm going to order one. Well, maybe two. That way I'll have a spare just in case.

Just bought two of the Heavy-duty 55/60's. These bulbs are for snow machines and probably get bounced around more than a bike light would/should?

A bit of caution: The previous owner of my Stratoliner installed a HID low beam. Just last night I was out on it. The HID high intensity white light is all over the place and some gets reflected back. When I switch to high, my pupils are closed and the yellow dull light of the high beam makes it hard to see so I always switch back to the low. If you are going to use HID you need to have both Hi & low HID.

The strat has very little room for the ballast and I may end up going back to normal bulbs, no room for more stuff in there and I simply can't use my Hi beam.
