I got a newer shock off of a 1kF, When it gets cold I will tear my bike down again and want to put the newer shock in.

WOW! $745 I know the rear shock is important, but WOW! I would need some possitive reviews before I spend that money.

Yeah Henry , ended up putting a used 1995 OEM shock (ebay $59) on the 1990 and it's
just ducky man. But I keep looking on Ebay UK for deals on HAGON's because
it's just a matter of time before I have to get new shocks for 'em both

If ya see any .......... do let me know !

Well BIO I was looking at the Progressive Suspension's 465 Unit, only the issue is
the lower "fork" matching up to the 1000F dog link

Was out in my garage today seeing if the lower Shock "fork" from an old OEM 1000F
could be removed and applied the the 465 ........ not sure yet but maybe !

The lower "forked" piece on each unit seem removable and i can tell ya the oem 1000F
is waaay wider than anything I have seen around .......!

I bought both a replacement rear shock and front springs from Wilbers Products GmbH - Die Fahrwerksmanufaktur! back in 2009.

The rear shock was affortable, brand new and has adjustable preload on the shock itself (adjusted by the factory to a specified nominal load). A good replacement.

(The front springs (progressive) was not especially stiffer than original, so I'd recommend the racing ones if the front is an issue as well)

Nice site Lockport but seems no longer listed. There is a Wilbers USA too

Must contact them to see if they still can be purchased reasonably....Edit (DONE)

IntoBikes UK has some real nice ones .... Never seen the Nitron Brand Before ! look
