Default Rear shock

Hi all, hope you're all well I'm in need of some advice. Was checking my bike over before I take it for an MOT (UK road worthiness test) and noticed some movement where the rear shock bolts in to the frame at the top. Which I guess is a fail. In the Haynes manual the schematic shows a inner sleeve then a bush but the schematic here

http://fiche.ronayers.com/Index.cfm/...SHOCK_ABSORBER

doesn't show the inner sleeve. So is it just the bush that can be replaced and the inner sleeve is not a serviceable part? Also should I replace the dust caps washers and bolt? When I removed the shock it didn't have the caps 'n' washers dunno why. my bike is an 87 that was an insurance write off in the mid 90's. Then bought back from the insurer and put back on the road. It has the 95 colours dual braking system and Showa front forks I believe the engine is 95 also.

Cheers!

Noam

I just had mine off and I didn't notice any looseness. I'd take the bolt off on the left side of the bike and see if you can fill it in with a washer or something to tighten it up.

93/95 panels on an 87 ? ......didn't know they would fit..........
There should be NO play in your upper shock, as far as I know.

Dunno Shadow I'm only beginning to learn about these machines, but it all seems to match the 95 year even though the owner docs say 87, and the chassis numbers match up.

I know there should be no play but what's the best course of action a washer as vl5150 suggests? Though if the bush and or bolt is worn is a washer gonna remedy the problem I'm not so sure. I was thinking a new bush and bolt but the haynes manual also shows a inner sleeve but the Ronayers schimatic doesn't. This is my concern do I need the inner sleeve as well as the bush?
