Default Probably an easy one, but

is there something I should know, when removing the windscreen, or is it a straight forward operation?
(It's my first CBR1000F )

It is straight forward. Remove the 5 screws and don't lose the plastic washers. I'd be careful not to over tighten to screws on reassembly. They don't need to be real tight, just enough to hold the wind screen in place and not back out.
