Default Other engine ?

Are there any other motors that can fit inside of a 1993 hurricane 1000f frame? or has anyone tried this before or seen this? thanks

Being perimeter frame where the engine is a partially stressed member, I would say it could be difficult.

However, you throw enough time and money at most problems and they are solvable!

What were you thinking of putting in?

All things are possible if you have enough money and talent.

Alternatively, you could just keep an eye out for a good used Hurricane engine.

Boring option I know: but at the end of the day; probably the correct and achievable option.

I entertained the blackbird motor in my 88 hurricane a few years ago. Now I have a 94 CBR 1000f.

I do know the blackbird 1100 cc motor is a big dimensionally. I am sure like everyone else said it could be done with enough money and time. It would be a cool ride for sure.

Check out this link from this site. Basically a discussion about what your wanting to know.

A guy did a 98 1100XX motor in 94 CBR900RR frame.

Just for giggles, I looked at how much the AC-15 electric motor and controller used would cost - not including the 24 battery bank - and it was $3,000 USD

I can buy 4 CBR1000Fs for that!

Cheers, SB

Probably would be easier to somehow put Hurricane/CBR fairings on a blackbird vs the engine swap. But either way both would require a lot of effort. But would be pretty cool.
