hi people, i have a 91 cbr 1000f .when i start it from cold it seems to have a tapping noise coming from the engine when its warm it goes and comes(the noise),also when i pull the clutch in it goes away as well..anybody got any advice as to what this could be thanx ..ray.

 

Welcome to the forum Brit, sounds like your cam chain tensioner is a bit noisy (a common complaint), not really a problem until the noise doesn`t go away when warm. You can try 20w-50 heavier than standard oil to help quieten it down a bit.

 

You may want to sync the carbs to smooth it out.
If they are out it will rattle.
