New rider - 1st bike CBR1000f '92 - any advice?
Loving the gold wheels Scott.
If you're interested in going the seat method there's one here for a fiver, needs recovering but that's what you want anyway
Honda CBR1000F Motorcycle Seat | eBay
I've got a long body and short legs so it's not an option for me, but if you legs are long it's a good solution.
P.S. Thanks for filling in the user CP info, we've got an international bunch on here and it really helps everyone

Thanks for the link Steve, gonna take a look at it in a bit - i do think it's gonna have to be done as there is a constant battle between my gut and the fuel tank and there is always the same winner
Love the red and black colour scheme of your bike, all dark and mysterious
lol
Question for you Sir - you have a carrier on your CBR and i really need to put a box on mine for carring stuff for work BUT i have no carrier, and have looked on the net and cant seem to find one - and i cant fit the box til i fit the carrier
Any suggestions where i might find one (carrier) ??
Cheers Matie

Hey Scott, welcome to the forum and sweet looking Hurricane!
Larry gave you some great advice, Twist of the Wrist is amazing.
When you ride, try to rest your hand on the handles rather than
holding them.
Squeeze your knees tight against tank will help also.
Keep your eyes where you want to go, don't look down at the road. (with the
exception of scanning for hazards)
Keep your feet on the pegs no matter how slow or fast your going,
you can get the bike to straighten back up by giving just a slight
bit of gas or releasing the clutch. You have more control with your feet on
the pegs.
If you do happen to go in too hot in a turn, throttle hard and lean harder.
Don't ride in the middle of the road.
Let your bike fully warm up before riding, it will run a whole lot better.
Keep check on your air pressure in tires.
I'm sure there are quite a bit I'm missing, but we'll get it out there.

The rack on my bike is a Renntec that has been cut down, hence no grab handle.
As for luggage depends on your budget, but Givvi are pretty good, can't remember what Shadow has on his bike, but they look really nice.
Here's my rack, as you can see minus the handle :-

Lol, your seat looks that comfy it just screams "sit on me, SIT ON ME NOW!!"
I like the way your rack replaces the grip and keeps the lines of the bike, all the carriers i've seen seem to be long-armed and slung under the grip bar and dont look half as nice :-/
