misfire on tickover
Well thank you all guys,
I replaced the coils to little effect, maybe a little better, however, I removed the carbs again to install new manifold boots and realised I had never removed the pilot jet mixture screws. When I removed them I found one carb had no o ring under the spring and 2 of the other had very damaged / perished o rings which were not doing anything.
So, I was my fault due to a second rate carb re con which I must admit to.
However, the bike now starts first spin on the button and idles well at 1000 rpm.
It revs up to the red line with only a slight flat spot at 3000 rpm
A good example of how fastidious you must be when rebuilding a project bike and do not cut corners.!!
