Well, I popped my chain friday evening on a ride outside my home town. My chain is screwed and my rear sprocket needs replaced. I was lucky that my front wasn't damaged as well, and also lucky I didn't lock up the rear. I was just shifting to third at redline, and thought I just slipped the gear. Luckily I was about 25 yards from a bike shop.
Anyway, I was wondering what you guys/gals woud recommend for a replacement chain and rear sprocket. There's no way I'm spending $140 for the honda sprocket and $290 for the chain kit. I was wondering what anyone would recommend? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
