An interesting offer !
I was admiring a bike outside one of my classes one night last week it was a Triumph Daytona 955 1999 with 30k on the clock.
Just like this

I got talking to the guy who owns it and confessed that I always wanted a Triumph - After describing my bike to him 1990/91 (we do funny years here in UK) 26k Miles - full Nexus system - custom seat and full Givis - touring screen, he started drooling - Turns out he used own a CBR1000f (Had it for 14 years) and described it as the best bike he had ever owned
He offered me a straight swap for the Daytona ! I was VERY flattered - that year sells for about twice what I had paid for my CBR !!! (I have of course spent a few quid on it since then lol)
Of course the answer was a "No" but I think it says a lot about the CBR1000f to be honest. I would LOVE, thats LOVE to have the Triumph, but It would have to be in Addition to my CBR, which is now ALMOST at the stage of being my perfect bike (I think they always stay at the "Almost" stage though lol.)

Gee Harry .. that offer would have been a financial win ...but I understand why you would not do it ..
He may have been not quite as keen if you had said yes ?
The Triumphs are wicked rides , but a little uncomfortable maybe?
I know I could not , or would not last long in that seating position
Once a 1000F rider , always a 100F rider mate ..

Nah, good move to refuse Harry.
The Triumph is for me a very uncomfy ride................
And it's not much quicker than my bike if at all, anyway.
The devil you know...............
