Yep, it's not cheap. We pay the equivalent of 2.40 (can dollar) for a litre.

I only carryliability/medical insurance on my 93, as the book value for such an old scoot makes it not worth the extra cost of collision and comprehensive coverages. I pay $142 US annually for thecoverage from Progressive. Premium gas here (only 91 octane here) is $4.59/gallon ($1.22/liter) at the "cheap" stations.

I pay $113.00 annually for liability coverage only. That only covers damage to the other persons property/vehicle, but nothing for mine.

Gas is $4.00 a gallon here for the cheap stuff.

Hi all,
The petrol (gas) prices here in UK just keep going up and up. I had a trip to NW Scotland a few weeks ago, the most expensive fuel was £1.35 a litre, which is $2.67US and $2.70CAD. We have had fuel protests before here, as these prices kill the road haulage industry, let alone my ability to get to work! I have had to stop using my car now, (OK its a BIG old Ford Scorpio), but the problem here is TAX! My missus works in a local store, in our town, which is a touristy-type trap during the summer. Americans that visit the UK cannot believe how we can afford to live in this country and are amazed at our prices. I think its the British way to just put up with things.
