Is there a manual out there for the 87 1000f in pdf format the one thats posted on the earlier thread is for a later model and there are some subtle differences

 

Not that I'm aware of.

Look for the 600f/1000F in the listing - they state it covers 87-96
Ignore the cyrillic writing - it's a Rumanian bike club (!!)- manuals are mostly in English

Sounds like it might be a copy of the Haynes manual, which covers the 600F1 and 1000F years 87 to 96.

 

Yes it is the Haynes manual - it's in Zip format, and comes up as a page by page gif picture - may be helpful. I have the hardcopy of it and it's quite specific as to changes by year.
