Default RE: How often do you oil your chain?

ORIGINAL: Trips

The best cleaner is kero, but the motorex Chain cleaner in Aerosol really makes life easy.

The best oil that doesnt attract grit is and always will be 90wt gear oil. But is messy and flings. The chain waxes are great and dont fling but they do attract more grit.
Well, what I would do then (and this is me), is douse the chain at night, come back in the morning and with the bike on the centerstand, run the bike in first gear a little to get any excess that hasn't dripped off. I mean it's only going to fling off at 2 places: the top of the front sprocket and the bottom of the rear. Since I don't feel like pulling the front cover off alot, I'll just keep a rag at the rear sprocket to catch any fling.
