hanging the bike?

hanging the bike?
hey all, hows everyone been? well winter in Maine is just about here. so i have a question for you guys. when i get ready to put my snowmobile away at the end of winter, after i "summerize" it, i hang the rear of the sled in the air in a sling from the rafters of my garage, it helps to save excess strain on the rear suspention over the summer and keeps the rubber track from cracking and "flat spoting". so my question to you guys is would i benefit by doing this to my whole bike as far as the suspention and tires are concerned? and besides stabilizing my fuel and removing my battery, should i do anything else to "winterize" it? appreciate all input. thanks

RE: hanging the bike?
As far as 'flat spotting the tyre's', the only one to worry about would be the front as your rear is already off the ground.
You could remove the front wheel, put the axle back in and rest it on an axle stand then hang your wheel from the rafters.
Just my 5c worth.
We don't have to worry about that down here in New Zealand...
Cheers.
