It looks very nice ! Planing to by a GPS myself for my trip to Normandy this summer, but think the TomTom looks huge! Like the small Garmin Quest better, by appearance ofcause, have no ide about funktion on either of them.

Rhino, what type of mount did you use? It looks like you attached it to the clutch master cylinder clamp?

In order to get it close to the handle bar I had to cut out a piece of the original tomtom bracket.
Its hard to explain but the bracket in original shape would only allow the ball to be more close to the driver.
When cutting out a piece of the bracket (5 mm wide) the ball could be angled more than it was supposed to be.

If you want more detailes please say so then I take a close photo.

Yeah, when you get a chance, take a picture of the mount. I'm still trying to figure out just where to mount my Quest 2. I also need to power it and have to mount a powerlet (BMW type) socket.

Thanks Rhino! It looks like a Ram mount attached to the clutch bolts. I was thinking of using this:

Or a steering stem mount like this

With this ball on top

Cycoactive is local and carries all the mounts. I have the 3" arm and MC mount for my Quest 2 already, so all I need is the ball mount.

Thanks for the pictures!

Edited for spelling......

Waz57,

Question about the clock I can see hiding behind your satnav. What is it, where did you get it from, is it 12v supply, is it waterproof?

I'm looking for a clock/thermometer for my 1000F.

Thanks,

hmm.
