You try to SELL your bicycle 4 days per week? I'm confused.

...or did you mean 'pedal'?

Anyhow, around where I live it seems that gas prices are going up more and more every few days. When they were saying $4 per gallon again by the summer I didn't quite believe it. Now I'm not so sure. We're at $3.39 per gallon here as of yesterday.

As a protest, and not necessarily to save money or anything, I've been choosing my pedal bike more often as my choice of commuter vehicle to work over my other options. I need to train for something in August anyway and pedaling back and forth to work is a great way to help me reach my goal.

I filled up again this morning at $3.45 a gallon. Only got 38.8 mpg on the last tank, and thats mostly highway miles. Based on others mileage, I do think I need to check the carbs. But it runs and starts fine, hot or cold, so Im not too worried.

My FZ1 gets about 42 miles per gallon on the same stretches of road, which is not bad either.

Im amazed at how many people I see still driving gas guzzlers like they are at the drag strip. Seems us Americans should have learned our lesson about oil dependence a few years ago when prices went sky high. But nope, we didnt!

I get about 43 mpg with my 1988 Hurricane 1000cc. I am paying 3.75 a gallon for 93 octane. Got to love the mpgs and better than supercar performance all in one package.

Checked my MPG the other day and I'm getting a pretty lousy 35, though in my defence I do ride hard, only ride twisties and I just can't seem to keep the rev's below 5K+

Think I do really need to get the carbs balanced though.

Guys, you complain about prices - try £1.36 per litre = GBP £6.12 per gallon!

Just paid $3.64/gal for 93.

Only got 35.8 mpg but I don't think I completely filled the tank last time. That along with a lot of cold starts and long warm ups.

See what it does this week.
