Fireball out exhaust?

ORIGINAL: SoloRider
eBay US has almost nothing for Hurricanes. In general there's almost no aftermarket for the bikes here and very few replacement shocks. What I really want is to revalve the forks.
Sorry for hijacking the thread with my complaints. I have enjoyed riding the bike very much.

Try e-Bay.de (Germany)
There are hundreds of these bikes still running over there. Here's a link

You could also try www.davidsilverspares.co.uk.

Thats done with the kill switch, my Bandit used to be mint at that, you give it a quick blip and flick the switch with your left hand. My buddy Andy used to run a Firestorm with race pipes, and that used to chuck out little blue flames on the over run, but 2 foot belters when messing with the switch. He used to be a wind up, and flick my kill switch at a set of lights, makingme look like a pillock, one day caught him up and flicked it as i bimbled past, saw the flames in my mirrors when he turned it on again!

same bike there. notice little flames when rev limiter cuts the ignition. Only small though. Bigger flames the longer the ignition cut!

RE: Fireball out exhaust?
The flames are not normal. The first and easiest thing to do is a compression test.
As mentioned before, a tight exhaust valve can cause the flames. The trouble is that the valve will burn if it is to tight and you will have to replace it.
If the problem is, lets say, a sticky carb needle, pulling the plugs to do the compression test would show a dark rich plug.
A compression test will determine if the engine needs to come apart.
