Default Exhaust exits aren't symetrical, 1987 1000F

Standing behind my bike, the exhaust tips are not symetrical to each other. Is this normal...I thought I saw a picture of somebodies ride on here a while ago with them offset, but is that really normal?

My exhaust cans are symetrical when looking from the back, but I have a '96. Well, they used to be, until I wipped out on the left one......

Thanks! I now have the leather jacket that matches, and attaches to, the pants. I love the pants since they have sliders. Also, they worked perfectly when I went down. The only place I got some road rash was between my pants and jacket since the jacket rode up on me as I was sliding feet first.

I was actually regarding the statue in the picture...but that is a good idea with the pants attachment to prevent the riding up.
