Burble is good, crackling/popping is bad and generally means a lean condition. You had her set up properly on a dyno?

More chance of finding a reptile dyno than a bike one in Northern Tasmania

So much for your non thread jacking policy TK. I swear (this time) I only meant with the throttle...there's just some stuff I don't want to know about you guys...

I have finally clicked over 1000klm on the rebuild. I took her up to 7500-8000 for the first time and had the front wheel too far off the ground for my liking, I had to roll off the throttle gently to bring it back down without a thud! I then proceeded to give her the berries thru the gears and found things quite hectic, gear changes happen far too quickly. On getting hme I thought I would check to see what size sprockets I have and found the rear has 45 stamped on it, I guess that is why all the low down power and only 200klm before hitting reserve. I will just have to put up with it as the chain and sprockets were only just fitted before I got it. I do not know what size the front is as it looked like too much like work to check something I can't change for a while anyhoo.
