Engine rebuild

I believe the $2735 was well spent for the rebuild, I have now put on nearly 500km and it seems to get better all the time. The revs just want to keep climbing, but I am keeping it under 6000rpm until after the 500km comes up. My mechanic says I need to start 'gettin on it' or he will need it for another service to remove cob webs The oil level has not moved from full, which is quite novel as it used to use more oil than my old RZ500(2stroke)
So, with a purchase price of $1800+$2735 rebuild+$130 cowl+$150 protector, fasteners etc= $4815 I do not believe you could get much better for the money here in Tassie as the bike is now in very good condition with a lot of k's left in the donk.

Awesome! I've always tried to gradually build the revs and load after 500km of gentle throttle. I wouldn't give it the full beans until a couple of thousand kms.
It sounds like you know what you're doing and the motor sounds like it's been put together well!
You've scored a bargain but, more importantly, found a good honest mechanic by the sound if it...these are much harder to find than good bikes!!
