crap. "HID simulation" and "Xenon technology"

Better try Philips Blue Vision or Osram Silver.

I've got a 90' and I've had no luck finding a white/xenon light for it. I can't remember the bulb type, but I know it's not a common one, the only bulb that works is a stanley.

It`s just a standard H4 isn`t it?
Thats what I`ve got anyway!
Pretty standard dual filament bulbs, unless you use different ones in the U.S.?[sm=americanasmiley.gif]
Try PIAA online, thats where I found em!
Good luck[sm=signs003.gif]

Not in the US. The 45/45 H4 bulbs are special that only come from Honda. The two side tabs are in a different location from regular H4 bulbs. To fit regular H4 bulbs, the side tabs have to cut off to fit into the socket. And I read that the blue tint on those Xenon bulbs cut down the light significantly. I use 55/60 H4 Candlepower bulbs with the side tabs cut off on my 1990.

The blue tint doesn`t affect the light output,as it`s only on the tip. They`re usually coated white aren`t they?I found the blue hew a bonus as the light is emitted with a crisper look and gives a much better contrast to oncoming objects,so you don`t get that blending in look!
Plus they`re twice as bright, which helps!!

slowpoke, so that works huh? I was thinking about doing that. Is the bulb secure in there and doesn't shake around. I was thinking about getting some Osram Slyvania Silverstar ones.

Actually I bought some adaptor rings. The thin adaptor ring has tabs in the correct location for the Honda socket. You place the ring around the new bulb, and bend the side tabs from the new bulb around the ring. Voile. Now you have a new bulb with Honda-type tabs. Except the spring clip holding the bulb in the socket is so freakin' strong, you don't need the adaptor. Just cut off the side tabs on the new bulb (leave the top centering tab) and the spring clip will hold it in the socket forever.
