Default Do these two parts connect? (pics attached)

1991 CBR1000f. I'm pretty sure what I have here is a fuel overfill catch, and possibly a hose that connects to it. When I removed the tank, the funnel looking part was attached to the airbox, right under an hole/opening in the tank, but the bottom of it was not connected to anything. The pictured hose was not attached to anything either, and just sitting there under the airbox, through the frame, and ending at the bottom of the bike. It's about 2 feet long and you can see has a plastic fitting and clamps on the bottom (the very tip disconnects from the rest if you loosen the clamp). The hose looks like it would connect to the funnel-looking piece, but they don't fit each other. They are the same size hose however. Are these meant to connect? If so, I must be missing a plastic connector for these two pieces...any help would be great. The third photo is underneath the tank. That hole in the middle is the one that hovers over the funnel looking part.

Lastly, that hose in my hand was also not connected to anything. Maybe a vent? The main reason I'm concerned about that one is the end of it is bigger around than the rest of the hose for about an inch...making me think it was connected to something . Again, any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, I've looked at these already. It shows me all the parts, but not whether or where they connect with each other...that's what I really need. Anyone?

Thanks.
