Hey,
just lifted my tank to reattach the hose that had come loose(see previous post)All went well,I saw where it should go,but noticed that close by,there was another tube attach point on the bottom of the tank,it’s brass coloured, and about 4mm in diameter and about 12mm long. There is nothing attached to it,and here is where the plot thickens, there is a hose, about 5mm od,and about 40mm long, which then goes into a cream coloured plastic slow bend, that in turn feeds into a bigger diameter tube, about 10mm in diameter, which then disappears behind the rear middle of the cylinder block,I couldn’t see where it went, common sense would indicate it fits over the brass coloured post coming off the tank, but it’s about 50mm to short,it won’t reach, any ideas, cheers! This isn’t mine, but it’s identical
Hey Doc,thanks for your excellent reply;23 and 40 are present, they just won’t reach the brass fitting in the tank,I tried pulling it over to reach, but the hose/ union won’t budge, and I don’t want to pull too hard, lol,in case the hose comes off wherever it’s attached to!

No problem!
I know my gas overflow hose will not attach unless I have the tank almost all the way down. I have to use a pair of right angle needle nose pliers to get it on. Perhaps you could get some hose of same inner/outer diameter and cut a piece of appropriate length to replace #40?
Hey Doc,
thanks again;that’s what I’ll do,try and source some longer hose, the bike was running fine before I raised the tank,so I figure I must have dislodged the hose from the tank when I lifted it last night,I’m guessing it won’t run right now until I get that hose reconnected,I think it might be a vacuum hose, why make it so bloody short!
It may run perfectly fine but yeah, better to just wait and hook it up right to be sure! You could probably source some aquarium hose or something similar. I doubt it's handling much pressure and just needs a snug fitment to be secure...
