Lesser blade pitch and in most cases a smaller diameter - but that's just in my personal opinion and observation

if I was going to put a modern fan on the hurricane - most likely opt for two in tandem.

But really I have no such plans yet, not until maybe one dies or something

My 93 ( all stock ) fan kicks on at about 3/4 & I'm in Phoenix, AZ where it's always warm out.

My problem is next month we have a "toy run" - charity run donating toys to childrens homes. It involves very slow running, in places walking speed, over a 20-30km distance. I do this run every year and this will be the first year on the CBR. I really don't want to stuff up the motor doing the run but I know I will do it anyway. Looking for ideas to set the bike up for the run so I can enjoy it knowing there won't be any overheating issues.

Simple manual ground switch is what I'd do for that one event - leave it on

splice into the thermo switch cable simple switch other end to frame ground

Can even just hide the switch up under the cowling if it's a temporary thing.

Thanks Sprock, I'll probably do that. Re-engineering the fan system is probably over the top. Will just make sure there is fresh coolant in as well and hopefully good to go.
