Chain question
I've read a little about chains and sprockets on this forum.
Bike is an 88, I recently cleaned my chain up, and it does not have O rings, and it does have a master link.
Is this a stock chain, I believe it has 530 stamped on each link.
They seem to move freely, but I have had to lube it repeatedly.
Ijust purchased some pj1 blue lube, and intend to clean again and relube.
Questions :
1. Is this a stock type chain ?
2. How often should I have to lube the chain ?
Thanks guys n gals.....

My 88 has the factory Chane and it is a oring. It has 53000k on it and still good i lube it about every 500k with wurth hhs2000 synthetic grease witch is in a pressure pack can.The chane always looks wet.
Answers:
1. No. The stock chain has o-rings and is endless (no master link). If it is an -88 model the chain is probably replaced a couple of times already.
2. You should lube it something like once a week or when riding in heavy rain. Use some good chain-wax, or Castrol synthetic chain-spray OR which I started tu use recently.
