Different boots?
I have a 96 - did they do this to even out flow or is it a rh outer, lh outer that have bends (mirror images) and straight tubes for the centers? Did they push the carbs closer together to narrow up the machine a little, thus the need for the different boots? Would my bike have restrictions in the boots? (US model).
Thanks, Pat

RE: CBR1000f carb boot restricters?
On all models there appear to be diiferent sizes of boots depending which country you live in. This was done at the time to comply with that countries law on the final output of the bike. Here in the uk it was 135hp but realistically you had to do some major pulling about to get that type of figure out of the bike. And even with new bikes to get extra performanceyou stillhave to spend, spend, spend. So I would check with the dealer first to see if you could get a larger bore pipes on both sides of the carbs........
