cbr 1000f wont cut off, continued
hi all again... been messing with bike to try answer all your questions...
ok ere we go.
when bike is running, cant put into neutral else starter motor turns over. kill switch doesnt work.
put into 1st and kill switch will stop bike, then neutral light comes on, still in first.
take keys out, neutral light remains on, put bike in neutral with keys out and she will start with starter motor going continuous.
keys in and in 1st gear, clutch in and stand up, bike will not start.
put stand down while bike is running in 1st and will cut engine as normal.
stand light and ignition light work as normal.
when neutral light is on with keys out, if you flick start button it will go out...i did this and left bike in neutral with ignition off. 2 mins later i heard bike trying to start itself...spooky []
do you think i should just but new r/h switch assembly?????????
thanks for any help you can offer

Did you mess with the black box that I had mentioned before?
You can either unplug it or disconnect the neutral bulb. What year is your bike? On my 1994 I can get to the bulb by removing the 5 screws on the windscreen and the 6 screws to remove the plastic that covers the bulb. If you remove the bulb, you will remove the path the current is taking to trigger the starter relay. See if that helps. If so the problem is the starter rectifier.

OK,
From the wiring diagram, there has to be a short between the main feed from the battery to the feed to the starter relay. The Neutral Switch will provide an earth for the other side of the relay and voila, a started bike. This would bypass the ignition switch and kill switch, and starter switch. The Neutral switch will kill the starter motor when you change into a gear. I still need a test done though. Please sit onbike, keys out and side stand up. Pull in clutch, does bike start? or at least try to?
If you like (we are in same country at least) pm me and I will send you phone number for chat.......
