RE: CBR 1000F "Hurricane" MUSIC Choices
Oooo, what I'd consider as great tunes...
For a long time now I prefer guitar instrumentals, being a guitarist myself it just seems the right thing to do.
Here you'll find one of my favourite tunes by John Petrucci (Dream Theatre) from a G3 tour with Joe Satriani & Steve Vai (met them both in 06 @ secc, and Bob Dylan was next door, lol) another couple of names well worth a listen.
Here's a Christmas setlist my band played back in December 08.
Pt.1
She Sells Sanctuary
Tie Your Mother Down
Bad Moon Rising
Sharp Dressed Man
My Generation
Rock n Roll
Sweet home Alabama
Silver Machine
Smoke on the Water
Get in the Ring
Breaking The Law
Doctor Doctor
Smells Like Teen Spirit
Blitzkreig Bop
Hammer To Fall
Born To Be Wild
Paranoid
Pt. 2
Ace of Spades
Allright Now
Jailbreak
If you want Blood
Black Night
Wheels Of Steel
Whiskey in the jar
God save the queen
Run Rudolf Run
Fuel
Won't get fooled again
Rockin All Over The World
Whole Lotta Rosie
Tush
Rockin in the Free World
Merry Christmas Everybody
Freebird
You should be able to put band names to most if not all of them songs.
I noticed The Stranglers getting a mention, great band. The missus n me went to see them last year in Dundee and they sounded as good as ever, even with a new front man, doing all the old tunes and some new ones. And of course last but not least, Hawkwind a band I loved from a early age.
(p.s. If you pop onto myspace link on sig, you'll see a vid of my band attempting a Queen song, and yes I've seen them a couple of times too)
