Default 95 1000f hurricane

95 cbr 1000f hurricane - YouTube

Not sure where to post this, but this is my bike.
Gonna make a thread for her and all her missing pieces.
I'm pretty sure it's an exhaust leak making all this racket.
You can hear how it's muffled up near the front.
This turns more to a popping after she's warmed up. Also I think I can hear
some backfire when changing into 2nd and into 3rd.

Tried to get a look at the missing bolts, it's missing more than just on that one
pipe. Wanted to get how it sounds from the headers and from the muffler,
so you can get the full aspect. In case I'm wrong.
You can also see the wires running from the fan if you've read my fan thread.

How does she sound?
Don't laugh but after this video she died.
Started her up and she died after a few seconds. Was bout to push start
until I noticed the gas was turned off
ok... you can laugh.
Don't know how to embed yet, so here's the link

Nope, haven't synced or cleaned the carbs.
I'm sure it needs it. I just haven't tried tackling it yet. Kinda big job for me
since I have no idea what I'm doing tearing apart the engine.
I don't wanna take it apart and it never works again

You don't have to disassemble anything for a carb sync

I've read that.
I have none of those tools, nor money to rent or buy them.

I hadn't done that either two weeks ago but what a fantastic feeling to be able to fix it yourself.
Think you should borrow your friends tools, read up on the manual (downloadable) and of
course every good advice you can get here in this forum.

Default Quick fix

So she has been acting weird on me the past couple days.
Dying out of nowhere.
Today I figured out it was determined by turning the handlebars left or right.
Just happened at random times, and sometimes when turning left, sometimes
when turning right.
Got out the flashlight and had a bare wire under ignition switch.
Started messin with it, and that was the culprit.
So I had to take off that aftermarket scooter light or whatever it was.
I like it better without it anyway. Reconnected the wires good and tight,
and taped it back up along with taping the other ignition wires just to be safe
and add some waterproofing.

Also took some pics of the headlights, how I have them mounted on the
handlebar radiator mount.
Got a pic of the toggle switches for the headlights and speedo too.

Default after warm up

Here's a vid after she's nice and warmed up, even rode a few minutes.
She's nice and loud, I like it. Just not how she's supposed to sound lol
louder from the headers than the muffler ha
