Default 87 hurricane 1000f

Has anyone had issues with the timing chain slack adjuster? I'm pretty sure its my noise source. If so,was it a common problem? The bike has 22400 miles. Is there anyway to tell if the slack adjuster is bad after its out, other then comparing it to a new one? Thanks for any feed back.

Yes it's the most common issue with the CBR. It's called the Cam Chain Tensioner Lifter, most people refer to it as the "CCT". Do a search and you'll get 65,395,763 returns. If you suspect that's what it is, you're probably right. If you don't have a Service Manual you can download one here: LINK. You can also try posting this question in the 1000F "Hurricane" Section to get more definitive replies from fellow Hurricane owners.
