Hey guys thanks for all the help. The bike starts, accelerates, and idles great now. My only issue is the bike does not rev down very quick. I used to come into a turn fast and come off the throttle and the bike would slow down as the revs drop. Now it seems to hold the revs longer. Any suggestions are appreciated.

nope straight rail bank of carbs are the 94's

v shaped rack are the 87/88 89.92 carbs

youd have to get into changing intake rubbers and airboxes etc to make it work

Is there any benefit to the 94 carbs over the 87's? Any ideas on my idle not dropping like it should? Thanks.

So basically you can just replace the carbs in your original brackets?

OP, Is the mechanical throttle stop hitting the throttle set screw or is there air in there? Also are the cylinder plungers going all the way back down?

I'm just learning this stuff myself but those are two things that will keep your rpms up.

I don't think you can switch them because I'm pretty sure the 94's have a solid fuel rail. I'm definatly hitting the throttle screw. Looks like I'm going to have to pull the carbs again and check the slides.

Anyone know the benefits of the 94 carbs vs the 87.

So I greased the plungers with some petroleum jelly (insert dirty joke) and around the seal. The bike idles down now. I also turned the air idle screws back in a bit. The bike smelled rich Looks like I'm about 2.75 / 3 turns out. The bike runs great now. Really getting close to being done. I just have to figure out my radiator fan and I think going to take a trip up to nh.

Great news PMCG. I admire your patience, many people would have lost the
will to go on, but your perseverance has paid off!
