Hey how did you get the float seat out? It circular, I can't see myself using a conventional tool to get it out.

Your carbs are off a mk1 or mk2, looks different to my 93.
My 93 is going great, pulls like a train, smoothly now and without a smoke trail!

FYI mine are MK1.

OK the good news is that 3 of them agree on 2-3/4 the bad news is one of them spins freely. I'll pop that in my thread so as not to siderail yours.

Thanks hueristic. Looks like that was the problem. Bike seems to run good on 3.5 out.

Its easy. 12mm (maybe 10) socket screws right out.

Was thinking of opening the jets while I got the carbs off. Flashing back to my motorhead days.

So was researching what I needed and apparently it's a serious pita to drill out jets on a 4 carb system so it'll have to wait or I'll get a kit in the future.
Here's a great thread on it.

My original jets had been drilled out, they were around the 150 size. I got a kit from Canada for about $65 del to Aus that contained 4 of each; 125,130,135&140 sizes(I used the 140's) The bike pulls much smoother and harder since rejetting.
