cam alignment marks.

Default cam alignment marks.

have after market adjustable gears. changing out cam tensioner no marks found on the cams to verify tdc other than the marks i made. the arrows are there matching the cyl head but no cam to gear marks?? 87 cbr1000f

You need to pay attention to the cam lobe orientation. Each cam can only be installed two ways but if you use the cam lobes as a guide, you can only install the cam one way (the correct way). Does this make any sense?

Great pics. One more thing to add. The No.1 cylinder is the first one from the left. Left when you are sitting on the bike or put it simply, the clutch lever side of the engine.
