Default Bogging down

Gday everyone how are we? Well yesterday while havibg A lil bit of fun with a triumph my bike bogged down quiet a bit after I gave the clutch a quick flick (clutching it). This is the second time this has happened to me. Does this mean my clutch is on the blink? Or does it mean something else entirely? Also when I take off from a stop it’s like has 2. Stages. I’ll take off the clutch is lever is released all the way and has I twist the throttle more it’s like it hasn’t finished engaging and I get a little clunk. Any advice tips and thoughts has to what my problem may or may not be are welcome

cheers everyone. Jarvie

Have you tried adjusting your clutch ?
Are you experiencing your revs increasing but not being matched by forward progress ? Your symptoms sound like a slipping clutch which means after you have exhausted all your adjustment options it’s time to take a peek at your clutch for wear. It could be a simple plates swap out to cure, or if you have other things like clutch judder along with what you’ve mentioned it could mean worn hub/ basket. How new is your cable ?
Either way, give it a go with adjustment first. Top and bottom. Then if you have no luck it’s time for a visual of clutch components.
I also take it as a given, that your chain isn’t very slack ?
Best of luck.
