bleeding clutch line...different way.
I decided to change my clutch fluid today and was getting really pissed because it didnt matter how much I bled it...I had no pressure. we are talking hundreds of pumps and still no pressure. I know how to bleed a line and it just wasnt working...SO....I removed the line from the master cylinder and took out the bolt so I could see the hole where the fluid would go...then I filled a clear tube with fluid and attached it to the bleeder on the slave...I then opened the bleeder (after making sure there was no air in the tube) and then proceeded to blow into the tube slowly until I saw fluid just peek out of the hose next to the master (making sure the air bubble I was forcing into the tube didnt go into the slave)...then closed the bleeder, attached the line to the master and gave it 2-3 pumps and the master was bled. I have air in the line, clutch works great and it took no time at all....you could probably do a good job with a large syringe too...just thought the idea might be of use to someone.
Pull the clutch back to the bars and tie it to the bar with a bungy strap over night - air in the line will travel up the hose to the reservoir - no more air in the line !

The way Pete suggests is more commonly used.. but I like the power bleed way
.. yer it takes a spare cap with a nipple ..
so its not for everyone...
When you just keep squirting/forcing a liter bottle of the fluid in and it pours out into a catch bottle from the bleed end at the bottom ... mate , that shifts every little bit of air out real quick too..
I recon its good to know a few different methods

I couldnt afford to wait over night for mine...needed to get to work today..I suppose it might work with the clutch lever pulled in and tied and then power bleed it so you dont have to worry about dripping fluids or anything though...will have to try that sometime.
