I think it's real difficult to find good "leather" and the right size (i'm 196 cm)if you don't wanna buy a new one.
There are differencies in size between the brands although they have the same "sizemark" ,you always have to try them on and that's difficult when you buy used one's on the internet. If you're lucky you could find one close to where you live.
rhino94, youare about my size...what size is your Goretex ?

Next Sunday there will be another track visit. It is only about 20 km's from here and even though it is justa go-cart track I'm sure it will be veyfun. It is said to be one of the best go-cart tracks in Sweden and the track layout looks very nice. The width is 8 to 8.5 meters so there is plenty of room to be passed [X(]. The track fee is also low, just 150 kronor that is about $20.

The track is strategically located within walking distance to Macdonald’s and Pizza Hut in a shopping area very close to Västerås airport. It all depends on the weather now, today it is clear and sunny and the temperature is +14 deg C, i.e. perfect for riding .

It was a very nice day at the go-cart track today with Blue1000F and a working mate. The track is relatively wide, 8 meters and has two high-speed sections and a lot of nice curves on different height levels.

There were a few crashes but happily no one got seriously hurt that I could see.

On the picture below I'mchasing a Hayabusa with my GSX R1000. I was happy to be able to overtake him quite soon, which makes everything a bit more fun of course. I’m not meaning that I’m fast on track, and I didn’t chose the fastest group that are quite prone to crash when all want to comefirst into curves.

The last session was in rain and Ilaunched last or second last in the line. To my surprise I was in lead only after two or threelaps. Perhaps all commuting in wet weather have helped someand the Michelin Power 2CT aresuperior in wet. I could see that the instructor justin front of meof loosed the grip both on front and rear several times but my bike was rock steady and I could outrun him to. The specific instructorwas not a rain driver at all ashe told us before the last session, and his bike was quitedented after a recent road chrash that he suerly had fresh in mind.

Nice to havebeen at the track again but this time just 40 kilometers from home.
It was the first time they arranged a trackday for bikes at this track (gocart track) if it worked out well then they plan to do it again next year but about 5 to 6 times...perfect !

The track was very fun to drive on, not that "small" as i was afraidof it would be whenyou consider thatit was a gocart track.
Learning to know my bike really well now,not afraid of leaning a lot and give throttle thrue the corners.

I put some pictures in that i took with my mobilephone,R1000 on one and us waiting on the other. The Ducati 750 sport that it behind me in the other picture went down/crashed on the last round they where out. I jumped that last round cause it was raining pretty much...he had to learn it the hard way. He did not get injured and the bike seem tomanage the crash well.

I also believe that the bird runs really smooth due to the double balance sharfts?
Sure does they are smooth as Silk and heaps of power on tap. Hey are you off to the Brisbnae bike show this week ?? Hopefully we might see what is going to replace the Blackbird ?
