unless Shadow wants to jump in with his conversion to Cape Feet.

Nah, only works in the Cape
How about chains - 1 chain = 30 ft so 1/30 divide by 30=1 cm, so
just a hair over 1/450th of a chain...........

(of course if your name is chainstretcher, it'll all be wrong)

22 mm is correctamundo

So do you have a quick and dirty conversion ratio for mm's to cubits?

Just in case it starts to rain really really hard for forty days and forty nights at Weeto's house?

Sure - but what are you measuring ?

1 cubit is equal to 457.2 millimeters (mm)
18 inches give or take.....
It is said that Errol Flynn had "one" that was a cubit in length.
No evidence has been produced however, so it's all HEarsay

So 22 mm bars would be about .05 cubits................
Just so we stay on topic here

So the bars are just less than the rule of thumb? <------ (vain attempt at staying on-topic)

The measurement from one side of the thumb to t'other = 1 inch
The measurement from the back of the elbow to the tip of the fingers = 1 cubit
The measurement from the back of the heel to the tip of the big toe = 1 foot
The measurement across the palm = 1 hand
The measurement between my ears (corked) = 1 vaccuum
The distance you'd allow your wife from the kitchen sink = 1 chain

All I can say, is that when going to the lumber yard in days of yore, you'd look for the biggest salesman.

Cheers, SB

Ok I'll be serious, it is the length of Oliver R Smoot laying down at 67.00 inches (plus or minus an ear percentage).

Therefore 1 Smoot = 1701.8 mm

And so, to bring it totally back on topic the bars are 0.013 Smoot

Cheers, SB (Don't have to ban me now )
