Alternator damper ok??

I don't know the answer, but the alternators appear visibly different. What's weird is that the engines are otherwise identical, so to me it seems that if you tried to only replace the damper you wouldn't be able to do it, but if you replaced the alternator assy along with the damper, you should be able to do it. Maybe not practical though...

Roundabout way of saying I don't know. Maybe a member with an MK2 will chime in

Mark II Fits perfectly into a MkI motor

No need to change the alternator as well

Do change the starter clutch though since you are in there looks different but again fits perfectly.
