I've heard that the K&N vs. stock filter advantages are minimal at best. Also, the BMC race filter is much thinner that either the K&N or stock filters, allowing a larger amount of debris to enter the intake. If you are doing a lot of track events, BMC would be the way to go, for daily road riding I wouldnt recommend it.

BMC flows better and is reusable.

thanks for the info and the air filter link was great. im due for a new filter, so im still up in the air. seems to be advantages and disadvantages to all. i sent an e-mail to the people that make the power commander and see what they recommend and see what filter they used when writing their maps.

K&N is basically a stock filter you can re-use, bmc race allows more airflow but also more crap so no good for the road in my 2p.
