hey guys i am new at this so try to stay with me i am putting a f3 motor into a f2 fame. everything was going correct untill i tryed to mount the tank. when i put the bolt on that mounts the top of the tank to the frame the bottom of the tank is about 3 inches above where it is supposed to be. i am using a f2 air box could this be the prob???? if so what do i have to do to mount the ram air box up. the bike starts and itles fine just cant get the tank to mount prop. any sugg. are better than where im at now.

only way to tell is to remove the air box and see if it mounts,if so then you may need an f3 box.

Hey... It would be interesting to hear the conclusion to your F3 engine into a F2 frame. Perhaps you could summerize the complications and your solutions.

Yes, the ram air makes a pretty significant difference. Just make sure that you have the equalizing tubes hooked up. If not, it won't run worth a ****.

When I bought my F2, the only thing F2 on it is the frame. The only issue I see with mine is that the throttle position sensor pushes right up against the frame and doesn't let the carbs sit in there very nicely. If anyone has a solution to this, it would be much appreciated.

I'm sure there was a discussion on here about this before. As far as it went there were calcs regarding power to weight ratio and the conclusion was that there was little performance gain to be had by including the ram air gubbins. Ram air adds something like 6 bhp and 4 kgs (186 to the f2's 182) if I'm not mistaken?

To be honest, you could get better performance gains from going on a diet! (or at least, I could! ;-P)

I seriously doubt raising power by 6 bhp will even be a noticable gain. Although it's possible it might run sweeter?
