Speaking of shedding wate...
I already shed quite a few pounds off the rear of my 97 F3. I took the plastic hugger off, the rear pegs (fabbed up an aluminum bracket for the exhaust hanger), and everything under the seat minus the battery (obviously), and took the license plate mount and turn signals off and cut down about 1/2 of my used Yoshi pipe. Now on to the front. I noticed the headlight weighs in right at 475 thousand pounds (give or take a few ounces). Now me being me I'm thinking there's GOT to be a lighter application or a way to get this thing a lot lighter. Any ideas? Also looking into the rest of the front end. Looking for ideas there also.
I'm not looking to build an all out race bike or nothing here. I just have a fever for keeping my hands dirty and ripping stuff apart for no good reason. Plus I like a lighter bike to flip around.
And as posted in another thread in the F3 forum, going to the gym and shed some pounds there is almost always overlooked. But it's pretty much free if you do it right. I dropped around 20 pounds so far this year so I can't complain any there.
Thoughts, ideas?
