Question about sprocket setup for touring
Ok, I just picked up this '99 F4, and the previous owner went -1/+2 with a 520 chain conversion. Consequently, that beast is fast! Which is great and I will leave that setup most of the time, but I am getting ready to do a 1,400miler and wanted toknow if going +1/-2 from stock is doable. Stock is 16T/45T, so I'm thinking about 17T/43T for touring. At this point allI care about is running lower RPM's on the freeway so that it's less buzzy and the gas mileage will hopefully popabove 45MPG the whole way. Then once I'm done, I'll go back to the-1/+2 sprocket. Any reason why this wouldn't be a good idea?
