Default f4 to f4i

ok guys i have been looking everywhere and i would like to no how do u wire up an f4i cluster instead of an f4 cluster?? i no u have to get the upper stay the f4i cluster and the f4i front fairing, but anyone no how to wire up the cluster

I have quite a few times and found one about f4 to f4i but nothing about an f4 to f4i

well the F3 to F4i swap will give you the basics - same concepts. The rest you'll probably need to break out some wiring schematics of the 2 bikes, compare what is the same and then start looking for workarounds for the rest.

none of this stuff is straightforward - if no one else has done it before, and there truly isn't a how-to on here, then it's time to start your own.

Match up wire for wire .....I jus did the swap it was a 20 minute job

F4 to F4i gauge swap is *not* an exact wire-to-wire swap.

If you've done an F4-to-F4i gauge swap, I'd certainly like to see it w/ detailed pics & instructions. Perhaps do a how-to post.

While there have been "write-ups" in the past, there's not been anything in detail w/ pics & organized instructions like a proper how-to.

+1 The gauge swap is not a straight across swap there are a few wires that need to be swapped. You will also need a Temp sensor from 1999 cbr900RR. If you dont swap the sensor then the gauge wont read the right temp.
