Slip-on with stock heat shield?

Slip-on with stock heat shield?
My Jardine RT-1 is on it's way, so I have a quick question. When I put the new pipe on, do I re-install the stock heat shield? I don't want it to look weird being that the stock pipe and the jardine are different shapes. What do you think?
