Default Are fork swaps not really done?

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone does fork swaps on their F4i. I have an F4i and a SV1000. It is super common for guys to put GSXR forks on the SV but I see very little about putting like, inverted 600RR or 1000RR forks on F4i's. Does anyone do it? Anywhere I can get some info?

Thanks,

-Josh

929 & 954 are the common fork swaps on the F4i, they're done on a regular basis if you're a stunter, check out www.stuntlife.com for all the info you'll ever need about that mod.

Hum,

I checked out stuntlife.com but the site seems very limited. Maybe it is because I am not a memeber but I didnt even see a tech section. I dont want to do 929/954 cause if I am gonna upgrade forks I want to upgrade to radial calipers too.

If I do it, I will just write a thread about it.

the easiest way is to just swap out the entire front end. that way you dont have to worry about custom fabricating spacers and brackets to line up calipers, rotors etc.

I agree about swapping a whole front end. So then is there anywhere I can get front end geometry charts? I know that rake and trail and offset and all that stuff change all the time. I would like to see what like, say a 2009 600rr or 1000rr have. What is the closest to the geometry of an F4i?

Ive just done a F4 / F4i front end swap on my F2, you need everything like the forks, wheel, callipers yokes etc, but once you got them all it just bolts straight on without any fabrication.

I have just completed a 929 /954 front end conversion on my f4i. You will need the following:

forks
Upper and lower tripple Clamp
Clipon's or bars
Front wheel from 929/954
Front Disc 929/954
Front Fender, I used a 1000rr front fender

Reuseable parts:
Calipers
Master Cylinder
Clutch controlls
Throttle assembly
Switch blocks
Head Stem bearings
Brake lines (if you want to)

I will post some picutres up later
