Default led idea

i am buying a 07 rr this winter when i get my pain and suffering check. i have not seen one close up yet. well not enough to decide what i want to do to it.

i love leds on a bike and wanted to do something diffrent with them. i never seen this or know if its possible. i want to put leds at the base of a clear wind screen. i dont know how it sits in a 07 rr i only ever had a f4i. but if i could put them at the bottom edge and face them up it should make it glow. maybe incasing all parts not facing screen so no area around glows. do you think this is possible? ever seen before? i think it would be so cool to see a bike going down the road at night and the entire screen lit up blue or something

i would also like to get clear grips and make them glow as well.

what do you think?

I think it would work. Thats how they do it with computers. The leds are incased in the clear plastic fans and when you turn the computer on they glow. I dont see it would not work for this. You might need more or brighter leds though.

yes you could line the bottom. but i think it would glow more if its frosted thats how they do it for amp racks ect. it keeps light in better. but during day it probley will not look to good. i will wait till i get it. if leds are to big to put at the base maybe fiberoptics with the leds down inside somewhere? i looked for pics of a illuminated windscreen cant find any

Don't ghetto up your bike with LEDs, that fad has come (I had under car lights in the early 80s)and gone with cars, bikes won't be far behind. There are some tasteful mods out there to do to a bike. Apologies and no offense meantto anyone that has already put LEDs on their bike.

Best thing about LED's and lights on a bike, the switch that lets you turn em on when you want to shine, and off when ya don't. To each their own! I like mine!

i dunno if it would work without frosting the windscreen but i think it would look pretty sweet at night, but not so much in the daytime.
