How important is an aftermarket air filter?
Just wondering how important an aftermarket air filter is? and if it is really important, what are some good brands to go with and how easy is the install on an 07?
Helps throttle response, and is washable, which is key, cause the stock ones are not. I would put it on if you have a slip-on. You can feel is breathing better. Its a pain in the *** to instal, and the only one to go with is the BMC.

I have always heard that the best air filter for our sportbikes is the OEM one.

I had a K&N, but just switched back to an OEM one. I like it more with the oem filter in place. It just seems smoother overall, with less holes in the powerband. Two Brothers recomends the stock filter in an F4, and I agree.
