RE: Has anyone switched forks on their cbr?
the true question would be.... Why? What do you gain and what is the point to change your forks to any of the models there except if your building a fighter or rebuilding a wreck? Is this like one of those F4i to RR swingarm deals where it really does nothing and in the end its a big waste of time and money?

The question was to see if it was possible (if you switched top and bottom triple trees for some year switches) would the center bolts match up andif theydidwas there more harm than good done or should you stick with the current yearto not cause anyother problems with steering. I built my bike back up and saw that the wheel isn't aligned with my top triple tree and wanted to know if I was going to get a new top and bottom tree should i just buy an entirely new set including forks to "upgrade."

Well thats all I am trying to determine... Is it an upgrade? I do not believe there is much of a difference between the two types either way and if it was my bike I would not mess with the front fork setup. Things are designed for reasons and its not like F4i parts are incredibly expensive or hard to find. I think the more stock engineeringyou keep the less problems you will have if something goes wrong. Im not saying dontupgrade or customize but unless there is a significant difference (I dont think there is)why change it
