Yep, I know where Oakdale is ... I actaully grew up just south of Burnsville.

FYI - on the ASV's...From personal expericence(I've installed a couple sets) and while nice I have a few issues with them:
They're WAY, WAYoverpriced, for what you get...
The adjustability - They are damn near impossible to adjust "on the move" compared to the CRG / Pazzo's - BUT for street riding you shouldn't even need to adjust them. - And NO there is no more total adjustability in them than the CRG/PAZZO's, the adjustment isjust a finer adjustment.

If you really want the ultimate Lever - It's only available for the clutch side - check out the CRG "GP CLUTCH"....

 

i love the feel of my pazzo's. they feel very comfortable.

 

first there is alot more adjustability with asv's then pazzo or crg u have 3 inches with asv's..now keep in mind im no racer but why as u were racing would u want to change the adjustment of ur levers? and there priced way to high? the asv's are $5 more each then the crg radial serie, $115 less then that gp lever .and only $50 more per set then the pazzo..now lets see what u get for this little bit of extra money, more, and finer adjustability, a great warranty ( i couldnt find on crg's site what kind if any they offered). i mean u cant really argue with the whole "if u break it we'll replace it" thing.and imo they have a much cleaner look then pazzo or crg.

 

oaka, they sound sweet havent seen them yet havent had a chance to look em up but they sound sweet. and you cant argue with that kind of warrenty its like a snap on or craftsman warranty.

jason, ill def look into them sense u said all those tracks that are in thestate it makes me want to build up the bike a bit for some track days. and if those levers are as good as you say than they will be perfect. what levers do you have man? i cant member if u said it or i just cant find it so gota ask cus i like the look of the pazzos. no problem white. i have heard alot of good things from asv's though. white like i said earlier get ahold of toaliosis. he does a lot of research on everything that he wants to buy. i know that he has been looking at the asv's. just a thought

 

ill do that cause any info will help tons. wont be starting the mods till dec prob (low cash) but once i get all my parts figured out its guna be like christmas!!

also are most the aftermarket levers easy to install?

 

Normal 0 Don't get me wrong the ASV's are definitely a quality part, no doubt, if someone gave me a set, I would run them on my sprint race bike without a second thought - but they're not any better than CRG's or Pazzos in my experience.

Why would you want to change the adjustment - Well if you're doing any endurance racing, 2hr - 8 hour, (this is more for brake than clutch) you can easily go through a new set of pads in one race, as the pads wear the lever will come closer and closer to the bar, being able to adjust them on the fly allows one to keep the lever in the "preferred position".

The $50.00 bucks a set buys: a almost a 1/2 of a track day / Practice day, almost one additional race entry fee, 1/4 of one race tire, 3 gallons of race gas, or beer & steaks to grill after the race day's over... Not to mention if you go to Pazzo's and shop around it's closer to $70.00 difference for the set.

As far as breaking it... Well the ASV's will reverse direction and fold outward, but don't fold upward... Yea the 5 year warranty is nice, but IMHO it's a gimmick. I say this because after using CRG's for I don't know...5 or 6 years, I have had All kinds of crashes, Highsides, low sides, fast to slow, bike destroying to scratched fairings, I have NEVER once broken a CRG lever, or even bent one, same with the Pazzo's used them as well over the 4 years. I've also seen hundreds of crashes during race weekends... Never seen one break, but I did see one bend - granted that was the least of that's bike worries as it was in three big pieces and lots of little ones... And Pazzo had by far the best customer service out there for levers.

And looks are subjective...I personally think the ASV's look like crap, only slightly better than the Gilles levers. - But to each his own.



I run either Pazzo's or CRG's and Brembo... just on my 600rr's I ran Pazzo's on my 03 for 2 years, CRG (clutch side only - Brake was a Brembo master cylinder so I ran a Brembo folding lever on that) on my 05 for 2 years, and my 07 has Pazzo's on it. I also have CRG's on my 748 was well.

But Like I said, what ever one you like the best and fits your budget the best - go with it and you'll be happy with them.
And yes - They're one of the easiest bolt-on's to do.

dam dude thats a lot of great info thanks man. you make a good point about the 5 year warrenty sounding kind of sketchy if there were that good why not warrenty them for IMO. i was looking around and ive decided to go with the pazzo's. seen a few and really like them now jus have to shop around and find the best price.
